ESSEX Fire Museum, based at Grays Fire Station, will be holding a series of family fun days this summer to help keep kids amused and give hard pressed parents a bit of time off during the long school summer holidays.
The days are open to boys and girls aged 11 years and under and will give them a chance to learn all about the history of firefighting in Essex and enjoy a special fire service themed arts and crafts session.
Essex Fire Museum contains more than 60 years’ worth of firefighting equipment and memorabilia, including its beautifully restored fire engines from yesteryear.
The days will take place on Wednesday July 30, Friday August 8 and Wednesday August 20, with three sessions on each day at 10:00 to 11:30, 11:30 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 15:30. Entry will cost just £2 and every child will be sent home with a special photographic souvenir of their day.
Bookings need to be made in advance. To learn more about the Family Fun Days, or to arrange for your children to attend, please call 01376 576209, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
