TWO of Thurrock T Birds were members of the England team that won the final of the Rugby World Cup against Canada.
In a very tough match, Rachael Burford and Kay Wilson put on formidable performances in a tight 21-9 victory in Paris.
Burford picked up an early knock but kept going until close to the end of the match.
The game was finally decided by a brilliant, barging run from Emily Scarratt as she broke through the first line of defence, handed off Canada’s Brittany Waters and scored.
