THURROCK is on a top twelve General Election target list for UKIP according to Sky News.
The news will come as no surprise to those who observe the Thurrock political scene. They will have witnessed the growing number of Thurrock councillors (six) and the election of Tim Aker to MEP for the East of England region.
But others will have noticed the constant work that Thurrock UKIP do out on the doorstep.
Others on the list include: Grimsby, Great Yarmouth Portsmouth and South Thanet. All have interesting political micro-climates.
Tim Aker is prospective parliamentary candidate for Thurrock. A seat that is held by Conservative MP Jackie Doyle Price with a majority of 92.
