THIS month chairman, Joy Ridgewell welcomed two distinguished visitors to the TWC, councillor Tony Fish who was our previous mayor of Thurrock and also Peter Saunders, chairman of Chadwell Forum, who came to tell the group their bid for a grant from the Community Development Fund had been successful.
This will go to help with the cost of a Writing Weekend at the end of September. Both visitors joined in with the set task.
Members have been invited to the Chadwell Forum meeting in September to project their Anthology this has been a good product to raise funds for the group. Work was read out and discussed.
An account of Chadwell St Mary’s History about the buildings at the four corners of the Cross Keys written by Steve Davis was enjoyed by all especially as the Cross Keys is now being given a more respectable makeover.
