Can you add your voice to the Royal Opera House Community Chorus in Thurrock?

THE Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus has had an amazing 2014 with sell-out performances of Verdi’s Requiem in Purfleet and appearances at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden and in the Brandenburg Choral Festival. Can you help the Chorus build on that success? Can you add your voice to the other amazing singers from across Thurrock?

On Monday 8 and 15 September, taster sessions for anyone interested in finding out more about the Chorus will be taking place. This is your opportunity to discover your voice and the part you can play in Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus. The taster sessions will be held at the new home of the Chorus, Palmer’s College in Chadwell Road, Grays. They begin at 7.15pm. No need to book, just come along and discover a new world of singing. Experienced singers are welcome but there is no need to have any previous singing experience to join the Chorus. If you want to sing, the Chorus wants you.

The Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus is only open to new members once or twice a year so this is a rare opportunity to get involved. Led by professional Chorus Master Jeremy Haneman, the 140-strong Chorus sings a wide ranging repertory of classical, opera and modern music and performs across Thurrock and in London at the Royal Opera House several times a year.

The Thurrock Community Chorus has been established for more than three years and has developed its range and ambition over that time. Everyone is welcome. The Chorus is open to anyone living, working or studying in Thurrock aged eight and above. The taster session is free to attend and open to all. Come along and find you voice.
