THURROCK’S Labour Euro MP, Richard Howitt has commented on Ed Miliband speech this afternoon (Tuesday)
Commenting on the speech this afternoon in Manchester by Ed Miliband, Leader of the Labour Party, Richard Howitt MEP, Labour Member of the European Parliament for the East of England said:
"The biggest of the big ideas in the speech was the fully costed plan to save the National Health Service and I am sure it will be as warmly received across the country as it was in the conference hall.
"Ed Miliband showed how Labour has learnt the lessons not just from Scotland but from the everyday struggle of working people across the country.
"Labour’s case that ‘Better Together’ applies to all of us stands in stark contrast to the Conservative broken promise of ‘all in it together’.
"Ed Miliband’s speech shows how everyone stands to gain from the next Labour Government and today’s speech is a vital step towards that Government being elected."
