A TOP police officer for Thurrock, Ben Hodder has appeared in court in relation to charges of making indecent images of a child.
Hodder made a brief appearance at Snaresbook Crown Court having made his first appearance at Basildon magistrates court earlier this month.
The charges relate to images allegedly made in July 2010 and between November and December 2013.
It is alleged two pornographic images of children under the age of 18 years old were discovered on an Apple MacBook and four on an Apple iPhone.
Hodder was bailed. His next appearance is set for February 16 2015.
He has been suspended from his post as chief inspector at Essex Police.
