FIRE CREWS are tackling a blaze in the loft space of a bungalow in Markhams, Stanford-le-Hope.
Crews arriving at the scene report that three properties are effected by smoke from the incident
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are using one hose reel jet to tackle the blaze.
Initially two appliances were sent to the scene but at 17:01hrs the incident commander requested an additional appliance for extra manpower.
At this point no casualties are reported but the incident is ongoing.
