THE final Thoroughly Thurrock twilight networking event for 2014 took place last Monday (December 1st) at Orsett Hall.
With nearly 60 business people attending to listen to Chris Atkinson, Communications and Stakeholder Manager at c2c Rail Ltd talk about the improvements now being implemented on the Thameside service between Southend and Fenchurch Street since c2c won the new 15 year franchise.
These include free wifi, new rolling stock, an extended evening service back to Essex from London, station improvements and a new payment system, as well as announce a new Mobile App designed to assist travellers on their journey.
Chris commented about the evening saying, “Essex Chambers of Commerce have been vital in assisting us to keep in touch with the Essex business community, and ensuring we can improve our service to meet their needs. Essex Chambers really helps us to work closely with local businesses, and it has been excellent meeting so many businesses this evening.”
Essex Chambers’ staff were on hand to help guests make that first contact with fellow guests, working hard to help Bring Businesses Together to do more business.
Whilst Orsett Hall gave the December networking a festive twist by serving Christmas themed canapés and mince pies.
Essex Chambers will be welcoming back this popular networking event again in 2015 with partners Orsett Hall and Heart Radio, the first event being on February 2nd.
