Add your voice to the Royal Opera House community chorus

ROYAL Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus is looking forward to a busy 2015 and has vacancies for bass voices. Two taster sessions are being held in January for singers interested in finding out more about the Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus and adding their voices to it.

If you have sung in a choir before and want to return to performance or if you have some singing experience and can read music, Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus would love to meet you. The taster sessions will take place on Monday 5 and 12 January in the theatre at Palmer’s College in Chadwell Road, Grays where the Chorus meets regularly to rehearse. The taster sessions begin at 7.15pm and will end at 9.30pm.

Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus has been established for more than three years and has developed its range and ambition over that time. Led by professional Chorus Master Jeremy Haneman, the 140-strong Chorus sings a wide-ranging repertory of classical, opera and modern music. 2014 was an amazing year with sell-out performances of Verdi’s Requiem in Purfleet and appearances at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden and in the Brandenburg Choral Festival in central London
