Rugby: Injuries lay Thurrock low

Rugby: Thurrock 8 v 16 Achingford

THE overtime or injury course hit again as the visitors secured victory in the dying moments there was a suspicion of a knock on the build up play but the try was given and the losing bonus point was then taken away with the very last kick of the game when Thurrock gave away a penalty at the maul.

Thurrock certainly deserved more from the game as they fought back in the second half with a Jake Barand try and he also kicked a forty metre penalty to draw level going into the closing stages

Already with seven players out injured Thurrock added two more to the casualty list losing captain Reece Durrance and full back Darryl Worster which did not help in there quest for victory.
