ADMISSIONS to care homes in Thurrock is at crisis point.
The Thurrock councillor in charge of adult social care has spoken of her concern after it was revealed that the council is missing its target of transferring people from hospital to care homes in the borough.
Cllr Barbara Rice told the ruling Labour cabinet of many of the pressures that Basildon Hospital were under and linked this to the problem in transferring Thurrock residents to care homes.
