Football: Thurrock goal spree continues

Ryman Div One North

Thurrock 4 v 1 Soham Town Rangers

THURROCK continued their recent good run of form as they beat Soham Town Rangers 4-1 at Ship Lane.

It was the visitors who took the lead with a fine strike from top scorer, Luke Stanley.

Lewis Clark levelled the scores after a goal mouth scramble.

The first half was mostly Thurrock and illustrated why they are looking like promotion contenders again.

Thurrock took the lead when Joe Christou smashed a free kick home from just outside the area.

Ross Wall made it three after good work from sub, Charlie Stimson. It was Stimson who made it four in injury time.

The result means that Thurrock are now just four points off the play off places with a game in hand.

There is plenty to play for with twelve games to go for the Fleet.

They next face bottom side Burnham Ramblers away on Saturday.
