Statement from Ambulance Service
The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust received a call at 3.22pm yesterday (2nd March) to a road traffic collision in Welling Road, Orsett.
Two ambulance crews attended to treat a man in his 60s, who had neck and abdomen pain, and a young woman who had chest pain.
Both patients were taken to Basildon Hospital for further treatment.
Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or serious.
Update: 1900 hours
Road now cleared.
Incident: 1600 hrs
Welling Road in Orsett closed at the Brentwood Road junction, because of an accident involving three vehicles.
