COMMUNITY champion, Rob Groves has completed a marathon 10km swim at Impulse Leisure, Corringham on Tuesday to raise funds for Friends of Hardie Park in order to help purchase a fully-accessible roundabout for their local park.
Rob Groves took just under 3 hours to complete 400 lengths and raised over £1200 in the process. Fellow fundraiser, Shane Ralph was on hand to count lengths and offer support throughout the challenge.
Shane said, “This was a fantastic personal achievement for Rob who pushed himself all the way. We are so grateful for all of the sponsorship that we have received for our project and are looking forward to the roundabout being installed later this month.”
