AVELEY played their part in a highly entertaining eight-goal thriller at Mill Field.
Romford opened the scoring with keeper James Marrable scoring an own goal in the 7th minute.
However, Aveley came roaring back with Spencer Harrison scoring in the 26th minute and then in the 29th minute.
Aveley extended their lead with a penalty by Jack Stevenson in the 42nd minute.
But Romford’s Nick Reynold’s pulled a goal back just before half time.
Loui Hazelwood’s penalty levelled the scores after half time. Things got worse for the Millermen when Jack Barry scored in the 67th minute.
But Aveley salvaged a point when Petrit Elbi scored in the 86th minute.
