STUDENTS and staff from Palmer’s College teamed up with staff from Domino’s in Southend Road in a bid to clean up the local area and highlight the amount of litter dropped along Chadwell Road en route to Palmer’s College.

Together students and staff walked up and down Chadwell Road and surrounding areas picking up litter on the way. Palmer’s student Ashleigh Yetman said: “It was incredible how much litter we collected. We should all learn to respect and appreciate our environment more.”

Principal of Palmer’s College, Mark Vinall said: “We are launching our ‘Keep Palmer’s Beautiful’ campaign encouraging students to take pride in their College as well as their local community and to put all rubbish in bins. I think the students found it quite shocking just how much rubbish they collected!”
