PUPILS from one of the borough’s most popular stage schools appeared at London’s O2 this weekend in “Rock Stars”.

South Ockendon based Tip Toe Stage School were invited to take part in the show following their appearances at the Royal Albert Hall and other prestigious venues.

30 of the school’s performers shared the stage with Lorna Want, fresh from her best supporting actress win at the Olivier Awards for the Carole King Musical, Beautiful.

Julie Barker, the school’s Principal said: “I was really pleased for the school to be part of this wonderful event. It is credit to our performers and the teaching team at Tip Toe that we were asked to be part of this invite only show.

“The school always enjoys performing and this was an exciting addition to an already packed calendar for this year which includes Her Majesty’s Theatre, the Royal Albert Hall again and lots of local performances.

“And I am personally excited as we are about to enter our 30th year of being open which will culminate with our annual show being held at the Towngate Theatre once again.

“If anyone wants to join our family and perform with us let me know – everyone is welcome!”

Tip Toe offer classes in all subjects and details of classes can be found by emailing [email protected] or by calling 07940521864.
