Seabrooke Rise Community House to host open day

    OUR friends at the Seabrooke Rise Community House are set to host a Community Day.

    The house, set amongst the estate in Grays was recently the victim of a burglary but the community house has come back even stronger.

    The day starts at 10am and runs until 6pm on Thursday May 26th.

    There will be lots for adults and families to do including

    A spokesperson said: "Lots going on, including FREE face painting, airbrush tattooing, novelty photo booth, pop up farm and free running.

    Wilmott Dixon are holding tuitions in brick laying, as well as making bird feeders and some pebble painting.

    There’s lots of information stands, detailing services available in your community, as well as South Essex College providing information about healthy eating.

    We’re running a painting / drawing competition, with prizes, which will be decided on the day. Please come into the Community House to collect your paper. The theme is "My Community".

    "There’s also a cutest / ugliest pet competition – we’ll let you decide which one to enter your pet into! Again, we have prizes for this too. Please drop a picture in to us with your details on the back.

    "Early evening there will be a low cost barbecue, as well as food sharing. We want to encourage as many people as possible to bring a dish to share. Hopefully we’ll see lots of food from around the globe!

    We’re running two cupcake workshops during the afternoon, please contact us for details of how to book in.
