FIRE CREWS were called to a fire in a derelict church hall in Defore Parade, Chadwell St Mary.
Crews wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel to extinguish the fire by 18:50hrs.
ECFRS will carry out an investigation to establish the cause of the fire.
