A SOUTH OCKENDON lorry driver has been found guilty of driving a lorry whilst reading from a piece of paper on the A13.
A court heard that on the 28th April, 2014, Andrew Hay, 53, Brock Green, South Ockendon was witnessed by a police officer driving a lorry as it ran into
the nearside kerb kicking up cloud of dust and debris.
The officer also and witnessed Hay "To be reading from a sheet of paper held against the steering wheel whilst driving at 50mph."
The case will return to court in September to consider the matter of disqualfication.
