FIRE CREWS are tackling a fire on a disused pontoon on London Toad, Purfleet.
The incident commander reports that the fire is deep seated within the floating pontoon.
Crews are using power tools to cut to the seat of the blaze and backpack sprayers to tackle the fire.
Update: The fire was extinguished by 17:49hrs. Firefighters used backpack sprayers and tool to reach and extinguish the fire.
