TWO Thurrock Council libraries resounded to the sound of children having fun last week as they took part in the nationwide Big Wild Rumpus 2015.
Wild things gathered in villages, towns and cities across the country and libraries at Grays and Corringham joined the fun on Saturday (13 June).
The Big Wild Rumpus campaign aims to celebrate the nation’s love of the Maurice Sendak book, Where the Wild Things Are and at 11am the book was read aloud with a gnashing of teeth, rolling of eyes and showing of claws!
Family Learning from Grays Adult Community College were at the Grays library event making masks and the library at Corringham also had activities.
