AT around 3.15pm on Tuesday 7 July there was a road traffic collision on Waltons Hall Road involving a passenger transport bus and a car.
15 pupils from St Clere’s school in Stanford Le Hope were on board the bus at the time of the collision.
Police and the ambulance service were called to the scene.
All pupils, and drivers of both vehicles, were assessed by paramedics. Two students have been taken to hospital as a precaution and their parents are aware.
The remaining students have been transported home by school minibuses.
The vehicles are currently being removed from site now and its expected the road will fully reopen shortly.
Headteacher Mrs Ashlie Hughes said: “I’d like to thank the quick and professional response from the emergency services, Thurrock Council officers and staff at St Clere’s School.
“Thankfully, all pupils and drivers of both vehicles appear to be okay – albeit a little shaken.”
