"Person hit by train" near Grays railway station

    TfL Bus Route 370 between Upminster & Lakeside no longer accepting our tickets.

    Following the emergency services dealing with an incident at Grays all lines have now reopened.

    1615 hrs

    Statement from East of England Ambulance Service

    "We received a call at 2.34pm to Grays train station to reports of a person who had been struck by a train.

    "We sent a Rapid Response Vehicle which was on scene in two minutes and an ambulance. Sadly the patient was pronounced dead at the scene."

    To confirm: Due to the incident, all lines are blocked.

    C2c customers can use their tickets on @greateranglia between Liverpool Street and Southend until the close of service today.

    Statement: "Abellio Greater Anglia are accepting @c2c_Rail tickets all reasonable routes, owing to a person hit by a train at Grays.

    1500 hrs

    THE EMERGENCY services are in attendance at an incident near Grays Railway station.

    YT understands the incident is some 400 metres west of the station.

    C2C has announced on social media that "Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident, services via Rainham & Ockendon may be cancelled/revised/delayed."

    TfL Bus Route 370 between Upminster and Lakeside are conveying passengers via any reasonable route until further notice.
