SAVE the date because this year’s second Family Fun Day in Koala Park will be held later this month bringing the local community together for music, food and activities.
Organised by local residents and the team from local champions, Link Up based at the One Community Development Trust, the Fun Day will feature music, activities including face painting and a bouncy castle, numerous stalls and of course plenty of food.
This month’s event is the latest in a series of family based activities in the Adelaide Road park, including picnics and the first ever Family Fun Day in April which saw the Mayor of Thurrock join in the fun with over 300 local residents.
Sara Bryant, One Community’s chair is delighted by the success of activities in bringing the community together, and is looking forward to the this month’s event; “I have been to all the past events at the Koala park, I have noticed local residents are pleased that good things are happening in the park”
Link Up member and local resident, Lucy Aslett, believes the activities in the park have played a huge part in bringing the community together; “ We have seen people in the flats and the houses working collaboratively as they can see their children benefit from the activities at the park ”
