Statement from Essex Police
ESSEX Police are at the scene of a road collision at Chafford Hundred in which a driver was seriously injured.
The crash happened at Devonshire Road at about 3.15am on Thursday, September 10.
The collision was on a bend and involved an HGV tanker and a Transit van. The van driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to Royal London Hospital at Whitechapel. The tanker driver had slight injuries.
Devonshire Road is likely to remain closed for at least three hours for vehicle recovery and police investigations.
