THURROCK battled back for a draw against fellow promotion chasers Maldon and Tiptree.
Thurrock fell behind due to two goals by Darren McQueen and Matt Lock in the ninth minute.
Thurrock kept their heads and managed to pull goal back by the reliable Ross Wall in the 47th minute.
The Fleet plugged away, in what was a committed and entertaining game and grabbed the equaliser through Ross Gleed in the 90th minute.
The point was vital as it saw Thurrock rise to third in the league, just one point behind the leaders.
