ngage – the Community Organisation and Volunteer Centre for Thurrock – have their regular monthly drop-in volunteer centre service taking place this November to help local people to gain access to volunteering opportunities locally and across Thurrock.
The drop-ins are taking place at the following community hub facilities:
Tuesday 3rd November, 10am-12pm at South Ockendon Centre, Derry Avenue. Wednesday 4th November, 10am -12pm at Acorn Hub, Headon Hall, Stifford Clays. Thursday 5th November, 10am -12pm at Chadwell St Mary Centre, Brentwood Road.
Laura Hudson, Volunteer Coordinator said “Volunteering can help people in so many ways including building confidence, gaining new skills, meeting new people, improving employment prospects and much more.
We hope to see more people using the VC Local drop-in service and we are keen to talk about Timebanking and ideas for local volunteering projects”.
“We would also like to hear from more local organisations who can let us know about any opportunities they may have to use volunteers and also local businesses who may want to support local projects in the area”.
