West Tilbury WI: Nov report
IT was a festive scene at West Tilbury WI this month the speaker was Theresa Connelly proprietor of Petals and Plants who demonstrated her skill with making Christmas decorations form foliage and flowers to grace the table at Christmas.
Questions from the group were answered and everyone learned of how quickly the flowers are ordered and recieved mainly from Holland through the internet. Some demonstration prizes were given for the raffle and President Joanne Phillips presented her winning prize to Amy Reynolds who is celebrating her Ninety fifth birthday this month.
Members are going to the Christmas celebrations and ploughman’s lunch at Perrywood and the Christmas Meal for the December meeting will be held at The Ship East Tilbury.
The Carol Service this year will be at St Michaels Church Aveley On Monday 14th December at 7 -30pm.
Raffle prizes were won by Joanne Phillips, visitor Debbie Cushing, Niki Garwood and Margaret Camp.
