Football: Fleet let two-goal lead slip against Regent

Ryman Div One North

Brightlingsea Regent 2 v 2 Thurrock.

PROMOTION-chasing Thurrock may well feel this was a case of two points dropped rather than an away point earned.

Thurrock opened the scoring in the 13th minute through Remi Sutton an then added a second through Charlie Sutton in the 27th minute.

But newly promoted Regent have impressed this season an dare just two points off the promotion places.

Thye replied in the 41st minute through Jake Clowsley and then got the equaliser through a penalty by Charlie Cole in the 90th minute.

The Fleet remain in fourth place on 58 points. They are five points behind the leaders AFC Sudbury with two games in hand.

They return to action away at Cheshunt on Saturday January 16th.

Attendance: 124
