South Ockendon man may require surgery after being set upon by fifteen thugs

ESSEX Police are appealing to witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted in Derwent Parade in South Ockendon.

Between 7.30pm and 9.30pm on Friday, January 22, the 33-year-old man was approached by a group of around 15 youths who punched and kicked him. He sustained serious leg injuries which may require surgery.

The victim did not get a good look at the suspects but described them as being around 16 years of age.

Detectives have appealed for information from anyone that might have seen the incident or the persons involved.
