THURROCK- based Cruise and Maritime Voyages (CMV) www.cruiseandmaritime.com 0844 998 3877 is aiming to raise money for Sport Relief next month by cycling the equivalent of Holyhead to Harwich, from Britain’s West to East coast, a total of 344 miles. CMV staff will each be cycling a part of the journey on an exercise bike in order to complete the total distance whilst raising money for Sport Relief.
The Purfleet based British cruise line is one of the newest cruise lines in the UK and they aim to complete their Sport Relief challenge in association with local Essex based Bannatyne Health Club.
The latest fund raising idea from CMV is the brainchild of Miranda Coates, Human Resources Manager. Bannatyne Health Club has agreed to sponsor the event and provide the exercise bike for the challenge. Each member of the CMV Purfleet team is hoping to cycle approximately 5km each (about 10 -15 minutes) whilst making a donation.
Mike Hall Head of Marketing at CMV said ‘It’s a chance to get fit whilst supporting a great cause, Sport Relief. We work well as a team as we have nearly sold 80% of our 2016 cruise programme hitting the target this week. We would like to thank the trade and local people for their support and the great back up.’
