Investment boost for housing in Stanford-le-Hope

OVER £340,000 will be invested in Thurrock as part of a new housing development.

David Wilson Homes Eastern Counties is currently building 81 three and four bedroom homes at Stanford Park on Butts Lane in Stanford-le-Hope. Not only will this bring new homes to the area but the housebuilder will also invest over £340,000 in the community.

The main beneficiary of the investment will be sports and recreation facilities which will receive over £131,000. Nearly £90,000 will go towards a school travel plan and £72,000 will be invested in a roundabout improvement programme. David Wilson Homes will contribute a further £42,300 to road safety and more than £5,000 will be put towards a travel plan.

In addition to investing in the area, work on Stanford Park will also underpin 162 jobs.
