LAST WEEK, deputy leader of Thurrock UKIP, cllr Roy Jones presented a motion to Thurrock Council that pleaded a special case in relation to Thurrock and the Fire Service.
Two days later, Thurrock, once again, ground to a halt due to a road traffic incident. On Saturday the fire service were at full stretch dealing with five suspected arson attacks in the borough.
Cllr Jones told YT. "Friday and Saturday were living examples of what my motion was about.
"I am glad the council supported it. We are a special case in Thurrock when it comes to the needs for a fire service.
