IT is touch and go whether Thurrock singer Jordan Gray will be well enough for the first of the live finals on BBC1’s The Voice on Saturday night.
The singer revealed she had been struck down with a virus and is hoping to be well enough by Saturday
The singer – who has been tipped to be the first ever transgender winner – was feeling unwell earlier in the week and struggled to get through rehearsals.
"We were just in the middle of the first big live rehearsal and I had to go straight home," she revealed on Wednesday, "I couldn’t get through the performance.
"But the show must go on, that’s my philosophy. I’m not a spiritual person or anything like that, I don’t believe in fate."
Jordan has every faith she will be on the stage and admitted: "I just think if I want to be on stage on Saturday, then I have to be on stage on Saturday.
"I’m feeling miserable, but I’m focusing on getting well," she told PA.
Jordan’s mentor Paloma Faith added: "She’s just got a virus and we don’t want her to be poorly on the live show. She will make it. We are all praying for her."
However, Jordan appeared to pick herself up as she was able to play an even tin Manchester on Thursday night.
On Saturday, each coach will pick one member of their team who will receive a fast pass straight into next week’s semi-finals.
The Voice live shows begin on Saturday on BBC One at 7pm
