CMV announce new routes from London Cruise Terminal

NEW cruise departures and a new ship from the London Cruise Terminal in Tilbury

Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) is delighted to announce new cruise departures from their home port, the London Cruise Terminal at Tilbury, in their 2017 preview brochure. The cruise preview brochure boasts CMV’s largest programme ever from London Tilbury with new sailings on board CMV’s new ship Columbus, plus Magellan and Astoria throughout 2017.

Introducing the new 2017 preview brochure CMV’s Head of Marketing, Mike Hall said ‘For many people in London and the south-east Dover and Southampton is a long way away compared with the convenience of sailing from London Tilbury, just 10minutes from the M25 and Dartford Crossing.’

The new flagship Columbus joining the CMV fleet in June 2017 will mean the cruise line is able to offer more cruises from more ex-UK regional departure ports than ever before. Columbus will sail from London Tilbury alongside Magellan and Astoria, boosting departures from the south-east. The latest impressive addition to the CMV fleet will expand CMV’s fleet to five traditional cruise ships, Columbus will join Magellan, Marco Polo, Astoria and Astor. Columbus sails from London Tilbury on her maiden voyage 11 June 2017 with a 3-night cruise to Amsterdam and Antwerp, with fares from £199pp.

New Itineraries for 2017 include cruises to cultural Spain, France, Portugal and Gibraltar. The maiden Columbus season from Tilbury includes a Grand 46-night voyage to Cuba, Central America and the Caribbean, the highlights include an overnight stay in pulsating Havana, the chance to visit Chichen Itza, the Mayan ruins in Mexico, Costa Rica, Belize and Cartagena (Colombia) along with gorgeous Caribbean islands Jamaica, Antigua and Barbados sailing from London Tilbury on 29 October 2017 with fares from just £2,719pp.

The cruise line’s newest ship will also deliver experiences for its youngest guests for the first time. Until now, CMV has operated as an adults only cruise line. Requests from guests to be able to bring their children and grand-children on board have resulted in CMV operating two specific Columbus cruises in August with no age restriction. Cruise from London Tilbury to the Norwegian Fjords for 7 nights with child fares from £99pp or the Canary Islands & Madeira for 14 nights with child fares from £199pp.

The 2017 brochure offers a variety of deals such as a Buy One Get One Free early booking offer available for passengers who book by Thursday 30 June 2016. Solo travellers are well catered for during the 2017 cruise programme with Columbus and Magellan offering 150 cabins each for sole occupancy with a supplement of just 25% for single travellers.

The newest addition to the CMV fleet will officially launch 9 June 2017 when passengers will have the chance to be one of the first to step aboard Columbus at London Tilbury for dinner and a show. Columbus will begin her homeport sailing season from London Tilbury in Summer 2017 sailing around the British Isles, to the Fjords, Baltic Cities & St Petersburg and the Canary Islands & Madeira.

Columbus spans 13 decks, encompasses 63,786 gross registered tons, carries 1,400 guests and features 64 de luxe balcony cabins and junior suites.
