Thurrock 2 v 1 Waltham Abbey
A LAST minute penalty ensured Thurrock stay in the vital second place in the Ryman Division One North.
A goal by Daniel Francis opened the scoring for the Fleet but Waltham Abbey, fighting for their lives got one back through Ryan Flack in the 36th minute.
But it was heartache for Abbey when Thurrock were awarded a penalty in injury time.
Jordan Clark put it away to give the Fleet all three points.
The result sees Thurrock in second place on 93 points with just one game, next Saturday away at Aveley to play.
