Thameside Primary pupil scoops Procter and Gamble award

NINE year old Nora Mehmeti was the deserved winner of the Sustainability Poster Award category in the Procter & Gamble Charity Awards 2016 at a glitzy event at The Holiday Inn, Basildon on Saturday 14th May.

To enter, pupils were given the task of imagining they were an Energy Advisor and had to think of ways to encourage their family and friends to take more care over their use of energy and save as much as possible.

Nora’s winning poster design won Thameside Primary a cheque for £2,250, which will be spent on school resources, as well as a stunning trophy!

A school spokesperson said: "Thank you to the Renewable Energy Association and Procter and Gamble for an unforgettable evening and congratulations to Nora on such an eye-catching design!"
