THIS Wednesday’s Essex Fire Authority meeting will be streamed live on the internet.
Members are set to make decisions which will set the future shape and role of Essex County Fire and Rescue Service as it gets ready to face the challenges of the future.
Viewers will be able to watch live as the Authority considers the three options which featured in a consultation held earlier this year. The decision they make will be key to the future of the Service and the role it plays in the County.
The Service is preparing for future which is likely to see continued reductions in emergency incidents, but an an increased focus on prevention and protection.

Cllr Anthony Hedley, Chairman of Essex Fire Authority, said: “More than 17,000 people took part in the consultation.
“The level of response we received shows us that there is a huge amount of interest in the future of the Service and the options we will be discussing. We wanted to make sure that as many people as possible had an opportunity to see the meeting for themselves.”
