THE first meeting of the new Conservative rulers of Thurrock Conservatives lasted a mere six minutes.
YT used to joke that Labour’s Cabinet meetings in the summer used to last as long as a Mo Farah 10,000 metres but it looks like the Tories are more in Usain Bolt’s league.
The short meeting did not impress the massed ranks of Thurrock UKIP who had attended the meeting.
UKIP Thurrock group leader, cllr Graham Snell said: "It was a very policy-lite agenda, which was a bit of a disappointment to us all. However I am sure that the Tories will get their act together to ensure a much fuller agenda the next time out.
"We have been elected with the support of 39% of residents in Thurrock and we will represent them to the best of our ability to hold the Conservative/Independent/Labour administration to account."
