IT was a dazzling sunny afternoon at the Thurrock Nature Reserve on Wednesday (June 8th).
Six Year 4 pupils from East Tilbury Primary School and Nursery, were the youngest entries in attendance at a special prize giving ceremony for the borough-wide Sculpture on a Pallet project.
They waited with baited breath as the prize winners were announced and were thrilled to find out that one of their pallet sculptures had received a highly commended award.
The children were later presented with certificates by the CEO of the Essex Wildlife Trust, in recognition of all of the hard work that they had done.
A huge well done to all of Year 4.
The pallets will be on display for viewing as part of a summer art trail from 9 July.
