Corringham Primary delighted at SATS results

STAFF at Corringham Primary school have expressed delight at their recent sweet of SATS results.

Headteacher, Lorna Hamilton said “Staff and students at Corringham Primary received very pleasing KS2 results which indicated a rapid improvement from the previous two years.

All staff and children at Corringham Primary School have worked exceptionally hard during the changing landscape of the new Primary curriculum, where higher expectations and changes in assessment have been introduced. This means these results really are something to celebrate. The KS2 results are at least matching the national average and are above national in many areas – this is a pattern reflected throughout the school.”

Recently, Corringham Primary was cited in the Parliamentary Review for innovative approaches to inclusion and raising achievement.

The Chair of Governors of Corringham Primary School, Mr Tony Eatherton, said “We are very proud of every single child. They have risen to the challenge of the new SATS admirably.” Mr Eatherton also wanted to take this opportunity to thank parents for their ongoing support and wish the current Year 6 every success at their secondary school next year.

Corringham Primary School is part of The Stanford and Corringham Schools’ Trust, whose Chair Mr Steve Nash said “Very impressive indeed”.
