THURROCK entrepreneur, Ella Vine, has been recently appointed an official adviser to a human rights fiction film about human trafficking in the UK ‘’In the Name of Blood’, directed by London-based actress and film director Lavinia Simina.
The film is being currently filmed and Ella is advising its script, using her experience of working with victims of modern slavery and trafficking.
Ella said: ‘’In my charity work I used to work with the police and helped directly victims of those horrendous, but often hidden crimes, and I’m very happy that I can use this knowledge to help the film show some aspects of the reality of human trafficking in the UK.
"I met the film director, Lavinia, in the House of Lords earlier this year where I was speaking about issues like modern slavery and was later asked to advise the script.
"The film will play an important part in raising awareness of the issue of human trafficking in the UK and some institutional problems with curbing it but it is also a fascinating fiction story and I can’t wait to watch it.
Anyone who is or knows a victim of trafficking can ask for help the police or the Salvation Army for a confidential advice’’.
