Man wanted over burglary in Chafford where pensioner hospitalised

ESSEX Police would like to trace Jack O’Brien who is wanted in connection with an aggravated burglary in Thurrock and an attempted burglary in Brentwood.

One of the offences is alleged to have taken place in Chafford Hundred, Thurrock on April 23 this year. During the alleged incident the suspects forced their way into the home of a woman in her 80s. The woman was knocked to the floor and had water poured over her. Money was stolen from the property and the victim was left requiring hospital treatment.

The second incident is alleged to have happened in South Weald, Brentwood also on April 23. During the incident thieves tried to force their way into the property through a window but were chased off by neighbours.

O’Brien, 22, who was last known to be living in Romford, is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall, of medium build, with blue eyes and scars on his right elbow and the back of his right shoulder.
