ESSEX Firefighters were called to a fire involving four hectares of scrubland off Mollands Lane in South Ockendon.

Crews used backpack sprayers and beaters to extinguish the fire by 17:32hrs.

ESSEX Firefighters were called to a fire involving five tonnes of waste, a row of bushes and undergrowth on Marshfoot Road in Chadwell St Mary.

Crews used one hose reel jet and two main jets to extinguish the fire by 17:07hrs. The fire has been recorded as deliberate.
