THURROCK Harrier Veteran Athlete Sue Lawrence has so far won a Gold and Silver Medal At the World Masters Championships in Perth Australia this week.
Sue, (one of Thurrock Harriers longest standing members) is representing Great Britain at the competition, saw off tough competition from around the globe in order to bring home the gold medal in Hammer, throwing a seasons best of 39.06m.
Sue also gained a silver medal and a season’s best throw on Friday in the weight throw.
Sue has further events this week and we all wish her good luck and are rooting for her to do well.
All at Thurrock Harriers are extremely proud of Sue and her achievements and has continued to be a great role model to the younger athletes showing that hard work and determination definitely pays off.
