ANY of you who use the A13 or M25 will know how frustrating traffic congestion on these roads can be, especially at peak times. You will be pleased to learn that plans are underway to widen the A13 Stanford-le-Hope Bypass from 2 to 3 lanes in both directions, from the Orsett Cock roundabout to The Manorway junction (A1014). Widening this stretch of road will improve traffic flows benefiting road users both locally and from across the rest of Essex. DP World London Gateway will provide £10 million toward the road improvements and works will begin once a further £80 million of government funding is confirmed, which is anticipated to be in January 2017.
