RESIDENTS of Piggs Corner complex in Grays received a welcomed visit from 15 Co-operative store managers and an area manager from the local region.
They brought with them over 100 bags including tins of food, cereal snacks and other items – all of which were donated from the Co-operative store in Sockets Heath as part of a scheme to connect with the local community.
Residents and staff thanked the team from the Co-operative for the donation over a cup of tea and biscuits.
Cllr Sue Little, Portfolio Holder for Children’s and Adult Social Care, said: “This is a really wonderful donation from the store – I can’t thank them enough.
“The kindness and generosity shown is really touching and I know all the residents were very happy to welcome them.”
