Injuries and arrests after big fight in Little Thurrock

A LARGE fight in Grays left a number of men being taken to hospital and a number arrested.

Police were called to reports of a disturbance involving a group of people in Broadway, Grays at around 6.50pm yesterday (Sunday, December 18).

Officers attended and found three people injured. Two were taken to hospital, one with a head injury and one with facial injuries.

Two men from South Ockendon, aged 21 and 22, have been arrested on suspicion of assault and affray.

They are both currently in custody at Grays Police Station.

A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Serviced said: “We were called at 6.51pm on Sunday to Broadway, Grays, to a report that a man had been assaulted.

“An ambulance crew attended and treated a man, believed to be in his 40s, who was not alert.

“He was taken to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital for further care”.
